Do people value diamonds for more than they should?

People value diamonds so much that they don't even think about how important water is. The value of diamonds has raised so much over such a short period of time. People do value diamonds for more than they should because to some people diamonds and jewelry are everything. It doesn't make much sense that people value diamonds more than water. Water is a need and diamonds are wants. So many people buy thousands and thousands of diamonds. They keep them and maybe even keep a collection of them. Diamonds should not be valued for as much as they are. The value of something does affect its price. The price of diamonds is very high and that shows how there is a lot of value to it. Some characteristics of diamonds that make them so high in price is their beautiful look, style, and color. All of these characteristics really show the buyer why they want to buy one. Diamonds are a product that will increase in price over time. People will continue to value diamonds for more than they should. Do you feel like people value diamonds for more than they should?
