"It's Kind of Like Losing Weight"

In this article, "Money Making you Happy?  Try Happiness Making you Money", Amina Khan explains how "people who express more positive emotions as teenagers and greater life satisfaction as young adults tend to have higher incomes by the time they're 29 (according to a study published by the US Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences)".  Therefore, it is not the money creating the glee, but the reverse cycle.  Khan also concludes that positive attitudes improve future success, which makes a lot of sense. Furthermore, researchers have seen that spending money on others along with being kind to others, in general, helps one's happiness level increase.

                                 Happiness.

Sonja Lyubomirsky, a University of California social psychologist and author of The How of Happiness, believes that being happy is somewhat like losing weight by the fact that "if you're genetically predisposed to not being a happy person, you have to put a lot of effort into it".  That supports the fact that many people contain different levels of happiness.  Would you consider yourself a legitimately happy person?
