For some people, suicide is the end. It is only the end of an individuals life. In reality, suicide causes more problems than it fixes. But even with those new problems, the living members can push through it and survive.
Mrs. Bowden-White lost her husband in 1974. They went through several separations and he ended up taking his own life after they divorced. Two and a half years later her son followed in his footsteps.
It didn't need to happen that way though. After a suicide the family should come together and really unite. Unfortunately, Mrs. Bowden-White was too late to realize this. She continued to work in her news job. She didn't speak with her son like she should have.
Suicide doesn't need to be the end. It can be the beginning. It can bond a family closer like it did later for Mrs. Bowden-White. It can help serve as an example of how fragile people are and te need to work together through hardships.
Do you think that having the family bond before suicide could prevent it?
